Buying a home directly adjacent to train tracks can save you up to 30 percent on the purchase price compared to similar homes located "off the beaten track". Would you trade the train noise for a prime neighborhood, top rated schools and a home you could otherwise not afford? Living on a busy street with constant car and street noise can actually be louder.

My 8 year old son is doing a school research project on the Atlantic
Puffins. He is in the second grade at Ambrose School. As part of his
requirements for the project, he needed to visit the Winchester Ma Public
Library. What an incredible treasure!
We arrived on the scene at 4pm today. The library was abound with kids doing
their homework. It was very impressive. We made our way to the Children's room
and I have to say the librarian that helped us was fabulous. She approached us
immediately and asked my son, specifically, if he needed help. He explained to
her what he needed to accomplish. She not only showed him how to use the
computer search but she even gave him some research tips on how to make a good
book choice. Then to make the adventure even more successful, she demonstrated
to him how to login to the library database from home to do further research!
If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you visit the library as
part as your home search. You will undoubtedly be as impressed as I always am when we visit. A mom
of three children, the Winchester Library has been an incredible resource for
my children for over 14 years.
Some of the many programs offered are: storytelling, book groups, drop-in
craft programs and a variety of performers. All programs are sponsored by the
Friends of the Winchester Public Library and are free of charge.
